Hi all, just wanted to vent i guess. My wife had brain surgery 16 years ago that caused a stroke effect. She was still walking, talking, taking care of the kids and the house until January. Early that month she couldn't get up off of the bed, we attributed it to her bad leg being painful. about the middle of the month she fell with a quad cane in her hand face first onto our hardwood floor. No serious injuries but scary. Within a month she was wheelchair bound, and within 2 months she could no longer speak clearly, and everything was coming back out of her mouth, or choking her. Within 3 months she couldn't control her good hand very well anymore. She was diagnosed last month, and her PEG tube was put in 2 days ago. She isn't recovering very well, and i am not sure she will make it back home from the hospital. As for dementia, she has decided that my mom and I are out to get rid of her, and that we take her things and hide them to torment her. I am at a total loss as to what to do. I have been caring for her since it started, but got a job and need to work. Anger would make me feel better, but there's no one to be angry at.
