My dad is getting really iritated from the issues he seems to think are related to the biPap.
Saliva being one of them, and not being able to control the drooling. I have explained that this is not really a side effect of the machine but of the disease.
He also finds that his nose is running all the time. And Blowing his nose is a huge effort. Do any other people out there see these as being big issues with their PAL?
Going on from that...
Has anyone done any research on Botox injections to the saliva glands? Does it work and is it worthwhile?
Is there anything that can be done about the increased amount of nasal discharge? or is this just a symptom my dad has? He dosn't have alergies but to be honest he and his side of the family have notoriously large noses. Is it the moist air from the BiPap that makes the sinuses so full?
