Melanie E. Stein

Melanie, my companion of 30 some years passed away on January 14, 2024 after braving ALS for 14 months. Melanie showed great spirits during her ordeal and our aides loved her smile that she kept almost to the end. From a year ago, when walking was getting more difficult, I fondly remember our daily evening walks around the block, bundling up and getting the walker ready, and our little cat following along. Melanie was a source of love and strength to me and our two sons, and her persistence was legendary. May she rest in peace.
