I just read your post where you described your lower back pain. I have ALS, but... years before my first symptoms, I had a "stuck sacroiliac joint". A Neuromuscuoloskeleton physician (a Neurologist) who isn't an MD, but is a D.O. was my back doctor, and he had founded the center. He very gently, along with PTs trained by him, and stretching taught me to do at home, got it back into position. This is a common problem, and if you have spasticity in your back, the spasms could easily cause this. I suggest you do a search in your area to see if you have a place where this "muscuoloskeleton" area is practiced, and make sure, if you do, that you see a Neurologist rather than someone trained in any other discipline. That's just my 2 cents. I know the spasms DO twist and pull on tendons, etc. You may have a problem which is treatable without pain meds.
Best wishes,
Ann
