Going with the Baclofen pump

Today it has been 6 weeks since the surgery. I was on medical leave for 3 weeks, then went back to work for 1/2 days the 4th week. Then the 5th and this week I have been working my permanent part-time schedule of 6 hrs. per day. The first week was pretty tough, but after that things improved more and more every day. The abdominal incision was quite tender for the first 3 weeks. The abdominal binder really helped. It was hard to get socks and shoes on and still is a bit, but much easier than before. My doctor thinks that I may of had a deep bruise which took a little longer to heal than usual. The third week I was driving and able to get out alone (shopping) just to get some walking in. A few days I got pretty sore and then good days followed. My lower back was bothering me which is common after abdominal surgery because you don't use your abdominal muscles so end up putting more strain on your back. All in all, recovery was tolerable and of course everyone heals differently. Once I crossed the line, it was not so bad. I am so happy that I had this done! No regrets from LouLou! I'm pumped!
