I have an ent appointment Tuesday. I am just really scared.

Try just to have a great weekend. That you "sound fine" to others suggests at worst something in early stages or very treatable (very unlikely to be ALS) and at best your mind running away with you.

Thank you. But my stepson noticed. He says I sound funny when I use words with s. I am struggling hard to speak. Like I really need to concentrate to speak. My tongue feels very heavy and tires quickly.

Just a question? Does slurring start before tongue weakness or is it causes by tongue weakness. My tongue feels heavy and tired, but it is still strong. I can move it side to side. In and out of my mouth. I can poke the sides of my cheeks. Bit all that causes a tiredness.
