That said, following the MRI, I saw Dr. Katherine Widnell, a neurologist at UCLA. She did basic reflex tests on me, reviewed my blood work and my MRI report, and concluded I likely have Benign Fasciculation Syndrome (BFS). She scheduled me to get an EMG on March 31, though she suspects that the EMG will not show any abnormalities.
I finally got an MRI of my brain and neck, and the MRI was clear. However, during one of the scans of my brain, my entire back lit up with muscle spasms for the duration of the three-minute scan. None of the other scans of the brain produced such an effect. No doctor seems to see that as strange, even though I find it strange.
