I was recently diagnosed this past Aug.
‘24. Genetic testing found the mutation that is causing the disease. First symptoms were weight loss followed by weakness in right thumb and index finger. On an ALS med 12/12. Will be attending a multidisciplinary meeting 9/25. Speech is affected as is swallowing. Wearing a head support.
