I'm 18 years old and I'm worried about having ALS. I've got muscle twitching when I'm not moving and I'm feeling my muscles being weaker. There's also pain in some of the muscles but the one that's twitching the most is the left one around my elbow. I've also got throat pain and pain while swallowing. I'm not sure if I've got muscle twitching on my tongue since I don't feel it but when I stick my tongue out to check I can see it. I've also got tingling all over my body. I'm not sure if these symptoms are enough for ALS or it could be something else since when I do physical activity like running I can do it. Some of these symptoms showed up after I started thinking I have ALS and I'm aware this could all be psychological. I've also noticed difficulties pronouncing some words which scared me. I've also got weakness in all 4 limbs. I'd be extremely thankful if anyone responded to this thread and tried to help me with this issue.

What does your doctor say? If you have health worries, this would be the place to start.

Please also make sure to read here: Read Before Posting. It answers the question about twitching with no weakness and sensory issues like pain- this points to something other than ALS. ALS is about weakness. If you don't have clinical weakness, you must look elsewhere for answers.

Take care

I haven't been to the doctor yet. I just wanted to check if my symptoms lead to ALS in the first place.

The Read Before link provides both the answers you were looking for and the recommendation you visit your doctor first.

Take care
