First off, I'd like to say I appreciate any knowledge you can share with me about symptoms in regards to what I'm experiencing.
And admire everyone here who take the time to help others all things considered.
I'm a 32 yo. guy, and back in January I started on high blood pressure medication (amplodin medical valley) especially because I had proteinuria.
( I mention this because I'm unsure if some of the things I'm feeling can be side effect Related ).
Around a month after I start feeling weaker around my body, especially in my right shoulder and lower back, and it started to feel like my body would pull to one side when walking.
Around this time my doctor put me on a second blood pressure medication, an ACE inhibitor.
One more month goes by and I feel ever so slightly more weaker in my body, especially my hands, where I start to notice i drop things sometimes.
One month later, I start to have this feeling of pins and needles in my right foot, (sleeping sensation) especially at night time before bed time in the beginning, slowly becoming prominent during the day aswell.
(I know this isn't you're typical als symptom).
I go to my general practitioner with this, and he doesn't seem worried about it, he tests the strength in my hands, and legs.
Asks me to walk on heel and toe, touch my nose with closed eyes ect.
I have this up until 3 weeks ago, where I notice small falculation in both my calf muscles ( I can't feel, but see ) and what I would describe as a tremor or clonus in both of my ring fingers.
After this happens, I ask to see my general practitioner again the following week, he makes me go through the same thing again in regards to heel, toe, hand, legs ect, and asks for alot of blood samples because he suspect it could be B12 vitamin deficiencies or high blood sugar levels among 22 other things they text for which all comes back pretty much clean.
One week later I go to see him again to get the answer from the blood samples, the night before my left calf starts to twitch alot (first time I really feel it), and keeps going with that high intensity for 3 days before calming down, to the point where I feel it sometimes but I can see it all the time.
He then tells me to stop taking the ACE inhibitors, because it can be an side effect from them.
10 days go by from then, the twitching is still there, (it jumps around the body during the day, twitching a few times and then moves on to another body part) by this time it has spread to most parts of my body pretty much, shoulders, arms, hands, stomach, legs, feet, and face ( eyelid, upper lip, chin, temple ).
Besides that I feel incredibly stiff in my entire body, my calves feel like they are constantly flexing
I get body arches all over, primarily in my calves, but also from my buttocks down to my ankles and sometimes in my back.
Only place I have cramps is under my feet at times.
My general practitioner have given me an appointment to talk with an neurologist 14 days from now.
Nothing have really changed same symptoms still, just recently woken up almost every night for number two toilet visit, and a shaking sensation in my arms.
I still take the amplodin medical valley every day, and instead of the ACE inhibitors, I got losartan kalium instead.
I must admit I've searched the internet thin in hope for answers (but one place in Google says one thing, one says another) and I do acknowledge anxiety and bad sleep can have something to do with it.
I just hope someone here can help out with their knowledge or experience.
My fine motor skills are still mostly fine, when I'm not too stiff in my fingers and I still have all of my mobility in feet, legs, arms and hands.
I apologize for the long text, just wanted to make sure to mention everything.
