Hi...I am trying not to be concerned about ALS, but I don't like the symptoms I have been having for nearly a year. It started with body wide twitching which then settled down into my lower left leg and foot. My neuro has not noted any clinical weakness, even though my right leg seems to...
Our new neuro had in his notes that a follow up emg was inevitable, but that he probably wouldn't request it until after our next visit on 5/15.
But...today we get a phonecall saying that he's squeezing us in with another dr. for that follow up emg because he wanted it BEFORE our next appt on...
I had an abnormal EMG showing fibs, psw's, increased poly's, decreased amp and decreased duration with normal recruitment. This was found in lower and upper legs as well as shoulders. muscle biopsy showed denervation and I have twitching in my right calf. I have been referred to a...
A year ago (nearly - 12th April 2008), I was faced with this.
A year later, and nothing has changed. Left hand still visibly wasted, but no further wastage (in terms of severity nor range) or movement losses.
The moral of the story? - A dirty EMG doesn't mean it's 'all over'

Hello good people!

Hello Everyone~
Well, it looks like I am joining the race to some kind of diagnoses for my atrophied/denervated knee, and calf this coming Friday, morning. Doctors are looking to see if there is some type of 'occlusion', like a clot in a main artery that caused permanent damage to that...
