I have had symptoms for two years. Previous thread here: Unusual Symptoms. My emg can back abnormal in the bicep with fibrillations, complex repetitive discharges and positive waves. My twitching only comes on when I flex the muscle and I have no weakness in that time. The rest of the muscles tested didn’t have this but some had a high frequency. I’m really concerned what else could cause this. I’m only 21. I know I was struggling to relax the bicep during the emg so could it make that a false positive. The report below is stated.

They suggested It is something called muscle channelopathy but the issue is complex discharges are seen in a different pattern to the one stated in my emg as it had no waxing or waining and low frequency which would suggest it’s not myotonic.

What I don’t understand as well is the emg guy states there is no sign of neurogenic change but there is fibs waves and cdr so how does that make sense ?

I need to also conclude I have had pain when playing sport in my right area which was assumed to be tendinitis, could this potentially impact the results as I have symptoms elsewhere including bicep but no where else saw it

Hello,

If you could please re-post your report with all identifying info removed, that would be much appreciated.
