I don't use bipap during the day, but looking to the future, I noticed the permobil PWC loaner I have has no storage place where you could put the trilogy if you were using it in the wheelchair. I'm told the PWC they are ordering for me through insurance will be similar to this one. So once...
As many of you know, I have 4 wheelchairs, one of which has been funded by private insurance. The other three we bought used for particular purposes.
The wheelchair funded by insurance is a Permobil C500s VS, which was ordered 4 years ago this month and arrived in January of 2015. It has over...
Hello. I Live in Orlando Fl. I am 52 years young seeking a Neuromuscular specialist in my area. I have been getting passed around from physician to physician for 7 months now.
My Primary care Physician team feels as helpless as I do and they have worked hard to get me answers.
My PALS is getting a PWC in a few weeks. He is trying to decide if he wants the forward tilt. He can't transfer at this point. Would this help with making himself more comfortable with changing positions? Insurance isn't going to pay for it so we need to know if it is worthwhile to add it to...

Good morning. 32 years old with two young children and pregnant with my third. Undergoing testing for a neurological issue, with ALS as one clinical possibility although I have no been formally or even informally diagnosed yet.
I have life insurance through my employer but no private policy. I...
Hello, I went to a neurologist who suggested I had ALS based on my signs and symptoms. (Constant muscle fasciculations, positive Babinski sign, left side weakness and atrophy -atrophy in left hand and right around and now both calves- slurred speech and cramps where my muscles get stuck. Also...
A cost question here. When they came out they told me my insurance is paying 85% and I'm paying 15%. My 15% comes out to 178/month. That means insurance is paying $1008/month, and together we pay $1186/month. I asked for how many months until we own it, and she said no, no chance to own only...
Update, they are ordering bipap for me now! Finally had that visit with pulmonary, supine fvc was 48%, down from 64% in June, so I won't have to argue with insurance after all. Oddly my upright fvc is unchanged and pretty good at 75%
Hi All,
I was wondering if you could give me your opinion on my husband. For about a year he was having issues with his back. He tried physical therapy and epidurals. Nothing seemed to help. Fast forward to a couple of months ago...we both started noticing him limping. He noticed that his...
