We are adding an accessible bathroom to the first floor of our house. We will be getting a toilet with a bidet and have a zero entry shower. My contractor is recommending a wall mounted toilet. Does anyone have feedback on wall mounted vs. regular? Someone mentioned to me to get regular due to possibly wanting a lift to help me get up. A bidet mat be able to be placed on the lift. Please share your thoughts/experiences.

I don't see any reason to mount on the wall. As you say, a lift's legs have to go around the toilet if you use one, and running into the wall could be an issue in terms of getting you far enough back.

A floor mounted toilet is fine if there is space behind it to get a hoyer lift in. A wall mount obviates the clearance issue

A wall mounted toilet may be beneficial if the layout of the toilet placement in the room makes it difficult to approach with a lift. The base of the lift could slide under it if approaching it from the side. If the toilet is located directly across from the door, it shouldn’t really matter whether it’s floor or wall mounted.

I guess what I meant to say is that when you don't have free space on all sides, you could have less flexibility in positioning, which is increasingly important as muscles weaken. A single caregiver could have difficulty controlling "swing" and I would not want anyone in a sling to hit the wall. But I take the point that there could be reasons for a sideways approach, with due care.

We were gifted by the organization CCALS a toilet lift and bidet, both with remotes . It has been a huge benefit to my husband to maintain some autonomy when toileting. The lift that we got can be seen here <LiftSeat link removed> and this bidet fits over the lift <Swash 1400 link removed> don't know how either of these would work with a wall mounted toilet. We aren't in need of a Hoyer lift yet and I don't know how it would interfere with the toilet lift. You do need an outlet available for the lift and bidet.

Since you are in Massachusetts, you should definitely contact CCALS if you haven't already--they have been a wonderful support to us and we have received a number of items that have made life more manageable.
